Dr. Rishi Kumar is a biodiversity and natural resource management expert with 18+ years of experience, and has designed studies for wildlife assessment of various National Parks/Sanctuaries, prepared policy guidelines on Human-Wildlife Conflict Mitigation for several species (pan India) and landscapes, designed project for climate change impact assessment along altitude in Sikkim state and prepared Biodiversity Action Plan for Meghalaya.

He also has actively worked for supporting community based protection and management across Meghalaya (CCA). At IORA, Dr. Rishi manages initiatives for biodiversity and carbon assessment and enhancement, forestry planning and implementation, natural resource management, and formulating policy frameworks.
