About the Job
IORA Ecological Solutions is looking to hire a passionate and diligent “Manager” to assist in managing and co-leading the operations of the Ecosystem Services team on projects related to Ecosystem Services Valuation, Gross Ecosystem Product, Finance Commission, Tiger Conservation, and Socio-Economic development across selected landscapes, across projects. Responsibilities include:
- Provide technical expertise on ecosystem services valuation, PES, green accounting, green credits program, and related aspects of the project, with a special focus on forestry, agriculture, wildlife, climate, and socio-economic domains.
- Provide guidance and training to team members and stakeholders on planning interventions, monitoring project progress, and training on in-house developed frameworks application.
- Ensure timely, accurate, and quality-controlled delivery of reports, articles, op-eds, reviews, guidance notes, presentations and other deliverables.
- Develop and closely collaborate with other project consultants/specialists, clients, and stakeholders, including government and private organizations.
- Participate in fieldwork, where necessary, to support the project implementation, with emphasis on data collection, maintenance, and analysis.
- Mentor junior team members, and provide technical expertise and guidance to achieve program critical objectives and results.
- Ensure data compliance with funding agency rules and regulations. Data QA and integrity compliance of the project will be the sole responsibility of the selected candidate.

Essential Qualifications
- Master’s in Environmental Economics, Environment Management, Forest Management, Ecology, Applied Economics or equivalent
- Background in forestry/agriculture based livelihoods related projects, preferably in environment/ecology space
- Strong interpersonal skills to coordinate with various level of stakeholders, with special focus on communities
- At the minimum, 4-5 years of work experience in environmental economics, forest management and related projects, etc. is expected
- Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative methods and analysis for sociological surveys etc.
- Project management skills, strong communication skills for effective, efficient, and adaptive verbal and written communication, and attention to detail
- Experience in organising stakeholder consultations
- Experience working in the field (community interaction, data collection etc.)
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in challenging circumstances
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite

- Data analysis software InVEST, SPSS, R,
- Ecosystem Services and Environmental Modelling, impact evaluation etc.
