Haani is a key researcher for Iora’s initiatives on Forestry and Biodiversity, and has experience working on projects for natural resource management, water governance and conservation, landscape conservation, human-wildlife conflicts, and decentralized renewable energy. He specializes in climate change and sustainability studies and his other interest lies in areas of ecosystem-based adaptation, agroecology, vulnerability assessment, livelihood resilience, and extreme weather events.
