Dr Naveen Bali is an economic expert with over 12 years of experience in biodiversity and management. He specialises in government advisory, research, and academia, and has contributed significantly to policy formulation. Dr Bali has worked as a consultant to the Principal Economic Adviser, authoring six chapters of the Economic Survey, including critical recommendations on India’s COVID-19 response. His work spans high-impact projects and reports for Parliament and various government ministries.

At IORA, Naveen provides strategic macroeconomic insights to enhance sustainable forestry and biodiversity initiatives, supports forestry planning and implementation, and contributes to the development of natural resource management and policy frameworks.
