Bert Snarr

Senior Vice President and Head Investments

Bert brings to Iora 15 years of experience in capital markets spanning corporate and project finance. Bert joined Iora from US Solar Fund (LON:USF), a listed investment trust investing in utility-scale solar assets, where he led the Investments Team as Director. At USF, Bert focused on project and portfolio financings and led the company through its strategic review. Prior to USF, Bert was an Investment Banking Vice President at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he led a variety of M&A and capital markets transactions, ranging from public company acquisitions to IPOs. Earlier in his career, Bert worked in Macquarie Capital’s Emerging Markets Division, where he structured equity-linked notes and made markets in corporate and sovereign bonds. Bert holds a BA in Economics from the University of Miami, an MBA from UCLA, and an MPA from Harvard.
