Ankit is a researcher at IORA, where he supports initiatives focused on Forestry and Biodiversity Conservation. With five years of experience in wildlife research, genetics, and molecular ecology, he specialises in molecular data analysis, population genetics, and phylogeny. Ankit has led the development of a genetic database for captive elephants in India and has contributed to understanding the genetic status of various species, including Antarctic seabirds, and endangered species like dugongs, wild buffalo, Kashmir red deer. He has published peer-reviewed papers and actively engages in community outreach through the translation of wildlife comics and efforts to raise awareness about conservation.
