HR Manager (Full-Time)

IORA seeks to appoint a full-time HR Manager who will take end-to-end responsibility for the HR function, strengthen and institutionalise existing HR systems and policies, lead day-to-day HR operations, and mentor other HR colleagues.
- Role Purpose
The HR Manager will:
- Lead, manage and continuously strengthen all aspects of the HR function at IORA.
- Ensure effective implementation and consistent application of HR systems, policies and processes.
- Provide strategic and operational HR support to senior management and staff.
- Build internal HR capacity by mentoring and guiding HR colleagues.
- Support organisational performance, compliance and staff engagement.
- Key Responsibilities
- HR Leadership and Governance
- Serve as the overall lead for Human Resources at IORA.
- Provide leadership on people-related matters, workforce planning and organisational culture.
- Ensure HR governance, transparency and accountability across the organisation.
- HR Systems and Operations
- Take end-to-end responsibility for HR systems and operational processes.
- Strengthen and institutionalise systems covering recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee lifecycle management, leave and attendance, learning and development, employee relations, and disciplinary processes.
- Ensure systems are consistently applied, clearly documented and aligned with organisational needs.
- Identify and address operational gaps and risks.
- Policy Development and Enforcement
- Review, refine, update, consolidate and enforce HR policies and SOPs
- Ensure policies are legally compliant and consistently implemented.
- Lead internal communication and orientation on HR policies and SOPs
- Support management in fair and transparent application of policies.
- Onboarding and Offboarding
- Own and implement standardised onboarding and offboarding manuals.
- Ensure effective induction, knowledge transfer, exit processes and statutory compliance.
- Performance Management and Talent Development
- Manage performance management processes, including objective setting and review cycles.
- Support managers in performance discussions and development planning.
- Identify organisational learning and capacity-building needs.
- Lead implementation of employee engagement initiatives, including structured internal buddy and mentoring programmes.
- HR Advisory and Employee Relations
- Provide timely, balanced and professional HR advice to staff and management.
- Proactively manage employee relations matters to maintain a healthy and respectful workplace.
- Team Leadership and Mentoring
- Mentor and guide HR colleagues.
- Delegate responsibilities appropriately while maintaining oversight and quality standards.
- Establish clear standard operating procedures (SOPs), templates and documentation.
- Key Deliverables
- Strengthened and consistently applied HR systems across the employee lifecycle.
- Updated and consolidated HR policy manual / employee handbook.
- Operational onboarding and offboarding manuals in active use.
- Clear SOPs and HR documentation.
- Effective performance management processes implemented across teams.
- Demonstrable improvement in HR team capability and confidence.
- Periodic HR updates and reports to the CEO/COO.
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Effective and timely management of HR operations with minimal escalation.
- Consistent application and enforcement of HR policies and systems.
- Successful implementation and use of onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Quality, clarity and usability of HR documentation and SOPs.
- Improved capability and independence of HR colleagues.
- Positive trends in employee engagement, compliance and workplace conduct.
- Essential Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration (HR), Organisational Development, or a related field.
- Additional professional qualifications or certifications in HR management, labour law or organisational development would be advantageous.
- Essential Experience
- 8–10 years of progressive HR experience.
- Demonstrated experience leading HR functions in private sector, consulting, professional services, or mission-driven organisations.
- Proven experience strengthening and institutionalising HR systems and policies.
- Experience managing performance management processes and employee relations matters.
- Strong understanding of Indian labour laws and statutory compliance requirements.
- Experience mentoring or supervising HR team members.

The HR Manager will report to the CEO through the COO and will work closely with senior management, HR colleagues and functional heads.
