IORA assisted the Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM) in developing a methodology for evaluation of the ecosystem services provided by Tiger Reserves across India (Corbett, Kanha, Kaziranga, Periyar, Ranthambore and Sundarbans). The study carried out quantitative and qualitative estimates of ecosystem services from selected tiger reserves, and explored other alternative values. It further carried out an in-depth ecosystem services evaluation exercise in two tiger reserves to estimate the cost of re-creating a tiger reserve.
