Workshop on “Climate Change Impacts and Adaptation Planning for Water and Agriculture in Tamil Nadu”
IORA was invited to deliver a training workshop on “Climate Change Impacts and Adaptation Planning for Water and Agriculture in Tamil Nadu” for representatives from 12 departments of the Tamil Nadu government. Climate risk and vulnerability, inputs required on adaptation planning, and the interconnection between climate and non-climate aspects were some of the key modules.

One Day Workshops to Disseminate India Specific REDD+ Methodology
“IORA conducted three capacity development workshops for disseminating the India specific international approved VCS (now called Verra) methodology in June 2018 in Maharashtra, Uttarakhand and Gujarat. Additionally IORA coordinated with organizers including SFDs of the states and GIZ and prepared brief proceedings of the workshops

Workshop on Green Accounting
Two capacity building workshops were conducted on Green Accounting of Forest Resources, Framework for Other Natural Resources and Index for Sustainable Environmental Performance for Uttarakhand state to train personnel from Directorate of Economics & Statistics (DES) and other line departments of Government of Uttarakhand. Participants were briefed on concepts and methods for ecosystem services valuation, data collection, natural capital & forest resource accounting, and developing the Sustainable Environmental Performance Index for Uttarakhand.
